Steven is responsible for Canalys’ commercial activities, including business development, sales and customer relations. He is based in the UK office and oversees the worldwide commercial team in EMEA, APAC and the Americas.

Steven has years of experience in enterprise technology and adjacent sectors. He was responsible for two of Australia’s leading IT publications: IT channel title CRN and enterprise IT brand iTnews. Under Steven’s leadership, both media brands grew extensively, developing new products and services, and significantly expanding their events businesses.

Prior to that, Steven worked in both Sydney and London for Haymarket Media, one of the world’s largest and most respected B2B publishers, as well as for EMAP. His publishing and media expertise has included the commercial printing industry and the broadcast television sector.

Steven grew up in southeast Queensland, Australia and graduated with a Bachelor of Creative Industries from Queensland University of Technology (QUT). He has lived and worked in London and Sydney and relocated back to the UK in 2018 to start a family.
